It appears as if San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and running back Matt Breida, both of who were listed as questionable, will play in Week 6 for the Niners' prime-time matchup versus the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

Kittle was dealing with a knee issue, while Breida suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 5 at home versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Neither player appeared on San Francisco's Week 6 inactive report, which is as follows:

  • WR Dante Pettis
  • OG Joshua Garnett
  • DT Jullian Taylor
  • OT Shon Coleman
  • WR Trent Taylor
  • TE Cole Wick
  • NT D.J. Jones

Earlier in the day, the Niners promoted tight end Ross Dwelley from the practice squad and released defensive lineman Ryan Delaire. This led to some speculation Kittle might be inactive for the contest, although Wick being designated inactive instead pretty much sums up the transaction.

The 49ers will need both Kittle and Breida to perform well under the bright lights at Lambeau Field, especially considering the team has to contend with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Keeping Rodgers off the field will be a tough test, meaning head coach Kyle Shanahan's top weapons will need to be key contributors during the game.

San Francisco and Green Bay kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday Night Football.

The NFL has released its lineup of international games, and the 49ers aren't among the teams scheduled for long-distance journeys. San Francisco's last international game was in 2022, where they triumphed over the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico. Their prior overseas venture was to London in 2013, when they clinched a victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. There was a chance that the 49ers might return to the United Kingdom for the 2024 NFL season. The Minnesota Vikings will host a team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2024, and the 49ers are on their home
