Maybe we'll see Marquise Goodwin leap over the head of an opposing defender this season on the way to the end zone. He doesn't want you to doubt that he can do it. The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver posted the following video on Friday of himself recently leaping over a six-foot-tall tackle dummy.
Goodwin, 28, is entering his third season with the 49ers. He registered 23 receptions for 395 yards with four touchdowns through 11 games and eight starts in 2018.
Goodwin, a third-round pick out of Texas by the Buffalo Bills in 2013, has caught 79 passes for 1,357 receiving yards with six touchdowns during his two seasons with San Francisco.
Goodwin recently confirmed that he is committed to competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and sees his potential participation as part of his offseason workout regimen. He was a member of the 2012 United States track and field team and finished tenth in the long jump at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
"I use it as part of my training,"
Goodwin told reporters on June 11. "What I do in the long jump, track and field definitely correlate with what I do as a receiver with being fast, being explosive, putting my foot down. It's the same mechanics that I use in football and track. They go hand-and-hand with each other, at least with my position. I couldn't say that for every position."

Having two studs bookending the offensive line would go a long way in protecting franchise quarterback Brock Purdy. While tackle may be the first-round target, depending on how the first 30 selections play out, San Francisco might have to trade up to get a genuinely impactful

Watch: 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk undercover as an Applebee's employee
Brandon Aiyuk must really need that new contract. The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver took on an offseason job as an Applebee's employee while awaiting news about his NFL future.
Well, not exactly. It was actually part of the series "Undercover Athlete" from Whistle, promoting the new "Whole Lotta Bacon Burger." Still, it was amusing to see Aiyuk serving customers who couldn't quite place his familiar face at first glance.
