The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Super Bowl LIV contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The team is practicing from the University of Miami this week, and on Thursday conducted its second full practice.

There was no change from Wednesday's practice report. Only three players — all limited — are listed. They are linebacker Kwon Alexander, running back Tevin Coleman, and safety Jaquiski Tartt.

All three are expected to play on Sunday.

Coleman's injury is the most concerning of the three. He suffered a dislocated shoulder during the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, didn't practice in Santa Clara during the week that followed, but resumed practice this week. The running back is optimistic he will play in Super Bowl LIV.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chiefs, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

The news of Arik Armstead's departure from the San Francisco 49ers after nine seasons with the team shocked linebacker Fred Warner. Armstead, a former first-round pick, was an impactful force on the football field. However, his availability over the last two seasons forced the 49ers to reevaluate his contract, and when his salary could not be significantly reduced, the two sides parted ways. "Huge surprise," Warner said of learning that Armstead was being released. "Ever since I've been here, we called him the blueprint for how to be a Niner. That was the longest-tenured Niner that's been here and a guy that's done it right through and through." Warner has been in the NFL long enough to understand how the league works. Over the years, he's watched several

He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player. REPORTS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are aggressively pursuing a Brandon Aiyuk trade and the Steelers would be "surprised" if they don't land Aiyuk. Of note: Pittsburgh has the 20th overall pick.
