On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers locked up fullback Kyle Juszczyk for the next five years. He was one of the team's top re-signing priorities before the start of free agency. Others include offensive tackle Trent Williams and cornerback Jason Verrett. Along with the 23 others scheduled to become unrestricted free agents, both are officially free to open discussions with other teams.

NFL teams had sole negotiating right with their impending free agents until 9 a.m. PT (noon ET). Now, player representatives are free to speak with other teams about their clients. However, contracts can't be finalized and signed until Wednesday.

The 49ers reportedly have offers on the table for both Williams and Verrett. Both players appear set to evaluate their options, though, and see what their values are.

"A huge ole bag of money is coming [Williams'] way," Mike Garafolo said on NFL Network this morning. "I don't know if it's going to be from San Francisco, but one thing they've got working against them—high state taxes in San Francisco. Some other teams are coming at him, they won't have maybe not even any state taxes."

San Francisco traded for Williams last year. The 32-year-old tackle had been out of football for a year but played at an incredibly high level—maybe one of the best of his career.

Last year, Verrett was completely healthy for the first time since 2015. The cornerback landed on injured reserve during five of his seven NFL seasons.

"An offer on the table from the 49ers," Garafolo's colleague, Ian Rapoport, reported this morning. "He has not taken it yet, and as we get closer to 12 o'clock (Eastern), it obviously makes it more likely that a player will test the market. We will see if he ends up going back to San Fran."

Below is a list of 49ers players set to become free agents on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. PT (4 p.m. ET). The list is courtesy of OverTheCap.com.

Report: 49ers keeping 'in touch' with free agent safety Jamal Adams

By David Bonilla
Apr 29

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports that the Seattle Seahawks remain interested in reuniting with free agent safety Jamal Adams. He adds another name to the list of teams considering Adams for the upcoming season—the San Francisco 49ers. "Sources said the San Francisco 49ers are among other teams who have kept in touch with Adams, so the Seahawks could have some competition for the former All-Pro safety, who is still just 28 years old," wrote Condotta. The New York Jets drafted Adams (6-1, 213) out of LSU with the No. 6 overall pick in 2017. He registered 48 tackles, including seven for a loss, two

NFL.com: 49ers' selection of Ricky Pearsall adds 'smooth' separator out wide

By David Bonilla
May 1

While many were surprised to hear wide receiver Ricky Pearsall's name called during the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, NFL.com's deputy editor, Gennaro Filice, wasn't among them. Filice handed out his draft grades for the NFC West, and while the San Francisco 49ers earned the lowest marks of the group, it was still a respectable "B-" mark. "The first-round selection of Ricky Pearsall took many by surprise, but not this keyboard jockey!" Filice wrote. "I had the Florida wideout coming off the board in Round 1 in my final

NFL exec praises 49ers' Ricky Pearsall pick; Another believes Deebo Samuel is out next year

Mike Sando of The Athletic frequently taps into the insights of NFL executives across the league to gather intel and opinions on NFL developments, the latest being the 2024 NFL Draft. In his recent discussions with NFL executives about the San Francisco 49ers, the spotlight was on the wide receiver position. One unnamed NFL executive praised the 49ers' choice of wide receiver Ricky Pearsall with the No. 31 overall pick. "We loved that receiver," the executive told Sando. "The first round is probably a little high for him, but if they want the fifth-year option with him, fine." That's an interesting perspective that has yet to receive much attention regarding Pearsall's selection. First-round picks come with a team option for a fifth year, which

Former NFL QB makes bold statement about 49ers' Brock Purdy

By David Bonilla
May 2

Brock Purdy's standing in the hierarchy of NFL quarterbacks remains a contentious topic. While many argue that the San Francisco 49ers' signal-caller deserves a place near the top of quarterback rankings, others contend that Purdy is merely a game manager or a beneficiary of head coach Kyle Shanahan's system. Regardless of these debates, one thing seems increasingly likely: Purdy will become the highest-paid player on the 49ers' roster next offseason and will skyrocket toward the top of the NFL's highest-paid players, especially if he turns in another season like his record-breaking 2023 campaign. Purdy has found a believer in former NFL quarterback turned analyst Chase Daniel, a 14-year veteran of the league. "Brock Purdy is a top 3 or 4 quarterback
