Mock draft season is drawing to a close, and NFL Media analyst Charles Davis turned in his third and final installment ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, set to commence tomorrow in Detroit.

It's widely anticipated that the San Francisco 49ers will bolster their offensive line with the No. 31 overall pick, and Davis doesn't stray from this expectation. With talents like Amarius Mims and Tyler Guyton off the board, Davis sees general manager John Lynch and his team selecting former Washington offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten.

"Having gone without a first-round pick in each of the past two drafts, the 49ers can proceed in a variety of directions here," Davis explains. "Arizona OT Jordan Morgan has to be in mix, but Rosengarten fits San Francisco's RT profile and gives off the vibes of another former Washington tackle, Kaleb McGary, with his play."

Rosengarten played the vast majority of his 1,948 collegiate snaps at right tackle over the past two seasons with the Huskies, with only brief stints at right guard (five snaps) and left tackle (three snaps). He could present stiff competition for Colton McKivitz, whose performance showed inconsistencies in 2023.

Rosengarten didn't allow a single sack throughout his college career and conceded only 32 pressures over the past two seasons. His 80.8 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus last season was a career high.

San Francisco boasts a total of 10 selections in the 2024 NFL Draft and possesses a first-round draft pick for the first time since 2021.

However, Reid notes that the draft order was based on Super Bowl odds from ESPN BET, with San Francisco currently holding the best odds (+500). Reid also acknowledges that he hasn't extensively evaluated the prospects expected to be part of next year's draft class, stating, "This is super early. I

49ers add more speed to their running back room

By David Bonilla
Apr 30

The presence of Christian McCaffrey automatically makes the San Francisco 49ers running back room among the best in the NFL. The team also has Elijah Mitchell, Jordan Mason, and Patrick Taylor. There is a common theme within the group—speed. McCaffrey ran the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2017. Mitchell boasted blazing speed at his local pro day in 2021, estimated to be in the range of 4.32 to 4.38 seconds. Taylor ran a 4.57 time but did so following an earlier Lisfranc injury. On Saturday, the 49ers added another speedy option to the running back room, drafting
