Where does San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy rank among the NFL's top fantasy football quarterbacks entering the 2026 season?

NFL Media's Dan Parr released his fantasy football quarterback rankings for NFL.com, organizing the league's top signal-callers into draft tiers while offering analysis for each player.

While Purdy was left out of ESPN's recent top-10 quarterback rankings, Parr ranked the 49ers quarterback much higher from a fantasy football perspective.

Purdy landed at No. 9 overall, making him the second-highest-ranked quarterback in Parr's "Tier 3," trailing only Dak Prescott.

"Brock Purdy has finished among the top 10 QBs in FPPG for three consecutive seasons, including a fifth-place effort in 2025, when he missed eight games," Parr wrote. "Enter future Hall of Famer Mike Evans in San Francisco. The arrow is pointing up here."

The 49ers significantly revamped their receiving corps this offseason. In addition to signing Evans, San Francisco added veteran Christian Kirk in free agency and selected De'Zhaun Stribling with its top draft pick (No. 33 overall).

Gone are Jauan Jennings and Kendrick Bourne—and eventually, Brandon Aiyuk.

A turf toe injury limited Purdy to just nine games in 2025, but he still threw for 2,167 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also added three rushing touchdowns, boosting his fantasy football value.

Projected over a full 17-game season, those numbers would translate to approximately 4,093 passing yards, 38 passing touchdowns, and nearly six rushing scores. However, it also projects to nearly 19 interceptions, which would have been a career high for the 49ers quarterback.

If Purdy can stay healthy and capitalize on his upgraded supporting cast, he could climb even higher in fantasy football quarterback rankings by this time next year.

Parr's fantasy football top 10 QBs:

  1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
  2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
  3. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
  4. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
  5. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
  6. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
  7. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
  8. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
  9. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
  10. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Note: Josh Allen is the lone quarterback in Parr's "Tier 1," while quarterbacks ranked No. 2 through No. 7 make up "Tier 2." Purdy and Prescott headline "Tier 3."
